Henrik Sedin – Happy 600th!

600th consecutive game played tonight for Henrik Sedin, the 2nd longest current active ironman streak in the NHL. Henrik hasn’t missed a game since 3/19/2004 in Chicago.

Canucks Outshine Dallas Stars!

What a great game, despite Hansen’s controversial and unreasonable one-game suspension as a result of his unintentional contact with Blackhawk’s Hossa during Feb 19th’s game! Not only did we get to watch Kassian dish it out to Roussel, we gave the Stars a taste of their own medicine by winning the game and ending our losing streak.

Periods 2 and 3 were non-stop action. The Stars put up a furious fight but the Canucks didn’t back down. Both teams played at the top of their game. Hamhuis suffered from a painful hand injury which showed bruising within minutes but he stayed in the game, icing his hand between shifts on the bench. Schneider had a great night blocking 22 shots, several of which were HUGE saves. Was I the only one laughing or did you also chuckle a bit when the Canucks ran down the clock on the last powerplay of the third period?
